The Museum of Modern Art Presents the Black Arts Council Benefit 2024: A Night Out with Friends
The Museum of Modern Art will host its annual Black Arts Council benefit at The Museum of Modern Art on April 4th at 6:30pm.
This year, the Black Arts Council is honoring scholar and civil rights lawyer Sherrilyn Ifill and artist Glenn Ligon. The important benefit will feature a special performance by singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Cautious Clay, with backing band the Community. Proceeds from this benefit will support the continued impact and influence of the Black Arts Council through acquisitions, exhibitions, and educational programming that cultivates and engages a diverse museum audience.
The Black Arts Council supports MoMA’s mission of centering Black perspectives on modern and contemporary art that educate, inform, and elevate the visibility of art and artists of the African diaspora across New York City and around the world.
